Who?
Discharging Service members, Veterans, their families and Survivors

What?
Discharging Service members, Veterans, their families and Survivors will be able to file disability claims, submit evidence, speak with a claims processor or healthcare representative and in some cases, have a VA medical exam completed all in one day. Additionally, representatives from Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs will be assisting with applications and benefit questions.

– There will be two ADA-compliant mobile units on site from QTC and LHI.
– Audio booth
– Radiology
– Lab collection
– Echo (if requested in advance)
– General Medicine
– Psc/Psy Medicine
– Ophthalmology (if requested in advance)

Where?
PLEASE NOTE: The Veterans Claims Clinic in O’Neill will now be held at the O’Neill Community Center at 501 South 4th St.

Wednesday, March 20, 2019. 12:00pm to 7:00pm

AMVETS Post 13 new monthly meeting date

AMVETS Post 13 new monthly meeting date has been changed from the first Monday of every month, 7 PM TO the first Wednesday of every month, 7 PM. The location stays the same, VFW Post 8334, 5083 S 136th St, Omaha, NE 68137

This change takes effect for the April 2019 monthly meeting.

Military and First Responders Event

You are invited to attended Military and First Responders Event at Omaha International Equestrian Event held at CHI Center at 7:30 pm April 5th. The event is free for military and their families. Attached are ticket vouchers you can redeem today at the CHI ticket box office. You can also go online and request ticket vouchers (poster attached).

 

I need your help in getting the word out to as many veterans and first responders and their families as we can. Please post this on your social media, email it, hang in your meeting locations, hand it out or place it in your newsletters.

Please join us for a special proclamation signing and Vietnam War lapel pin presentation ceremony to thank and honor Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.

Living United States veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, are eligible to receive one lapel pin.
